On September 19, a conference titled "National Project for the Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sector: New Opportunities for Kazakhstani Business" was held in Astana, dedicated to promising energyprojects.

The discussion was attended by Deputy Prime MinisterKanat Bozumbayev, Vice-Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sungat Yesimkhanov, Vice-Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Asan Darbayev, and Vice-Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Saparbekov. The conference brought together over 300 business representatives. From KUS LLP, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Almat Tazhin participated.

During his speech, he presented an expansion project for the construction of an additional 165 MW Gas Turbine Power Plant (GTPP) unit, intended for the energy conservation of existing and future chemicalproduction facilities located in the "National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark" Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Atyrau region.
